(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Five are pleased to announce that guard Braylon Rayson has been named the NBL Canada Player of the Week for the week ending March 3, 2019.

In two wins this week, Rayson averaged a league-high 33.5 points per game including 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game. A season long candidate for league MVP, Rayson currently leads the league in points per game (24.5), total points scored (808), 3-pointers made (125), and is third in free-throws scored (143).

Rayson, a 5’9″ point guard who played collegiately at Central Michigan, scored a Sudbury Five franchise record 49-points (bolstered by 9 3-pointers) in a victory over the Windsor Express on February 28.

The Dallas, TX native also had a busy week in the community, visiting the students at RL Beattie on Tuesday before helping coach at the team’s March Madness Basketball Camp on Saturday.
